Ouch! Your feet hurt. You might have blisters or calluses, and you’re trying to find some relief. Do you need shoe insoles? Probably. Insoles will allow you to find near-immediate relief from common foot pain.
And two of the most common men insoles are the Sof Sole and the Superfeet Therapeutic.
These shoe insoles are both highly available – you’ll find them online – and, they have rave reviews. You’ll save money on expensive, doctor-created insoles, too. Which insole is better? Let’s find out.
Sof Sole gel shoe inserts are a full-length gel insole, and they conform to the foot’s arch thanks to the neutral arch design. The design fits most feet, and there’s a size chart to find just the right size for your foot.
Sizes available are: men’s size 7 – 12.5.
Fit is rated at a 91%, so it’s an insole that is highly accurate. If you find any issues with the size, there’s room to trim the toe area so that the insole will fit inside of the shoe. Heel size will be more of a determining factor in fit than anything else.
Do not trim the side of the insert.
The heel of the insole is filled with gel, and the forefoot has added cushion, offering relief from pain in your toes or ball of your foot. These inserts help with all of the common causes of foot pain, and they can be used for:
And when engaging in high intensity activities, you’ll find that there’s hydrologix moisture management built into the insoles. These insoles help keep your feet dry and cool, so there’s less sweat and wet feet.
A common complaint that I am seeing is that the insole is too thick. When an insole is too thick, it will be problematic in shoes that are a little on the tight side. If you have shoes that are a little tight or the top of your foot fits in snug, these insoles may be too thick for you.
But for the average shoe, this will not be a cause for concern.
The vast majority of people claim that this insole offers a superb fit, and it does as advertised: enhances comfort and reduces aches and pains.
Superfeet’s products are always superb, and the company offers shoe inserts for flat feet, shoe inserts for plantar fasciitis and general inserts to make walking more comfortable. The company’s GREEN insole is a full-length insole that is made from leather.
Different from the majority of insoles that we’ve reviewed, this model is a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth the cost.
The insole is 2” high, so you’ll be able to judge just how much room is left inside of your shoe. If your shoe is too tight already, the 2” height may make them unbearably tight. Width is 4”, so the insole will fit in most shoes without an issue.
Consumers state that 90% of the time, the insoles fit as expected.
Sizes range from:
Offering a slip-on closure and rubber sole, Superfeet ensures that the feet are kept in alignment and comfortable thanks to the deep heel cup. The heel cup is the widest and deepest in the company’s lineup, and it’s designed to position the soft tissue of the foot to help with natural shock absorption.
A stabilizer cap is present to offer extra support and long-lasting comfort.
High-density foam is used on the forefront of the insole to provide additional support and cushioning.
Made for roomy footwear, this insole is designed to provide comfort and support for your:
Overall comfort is offered, and the primary reason for the added comfort is the thicker design of the insole and the natural shock absorption power.
Even nurses, which stand for 12 hours shifts, claim that these insoles provide them with added comfort and pain relief.
A major concern, and it’s one that I haven’t had with a lot of other products, is that there are a lot of people selling fake insoles. I am not sure what happened, but I have found that a lot of buyers recently received fake insoles.
The fake insoles are not the same quality that Superfeet is known for with their products.
Make sure that you’re buying from a legitimate seller so that you don’t waste your money on a fake product.
The real Green insole is one of the best, and it’s a product that a lot of consumers will buy multiple times because it works so much better than the competition.
Which product is better? I recommend the genuine Superfeet GREEN, but since there have been a lot of issues recently, I would choose the Sof Sole. The Sof Sole insole does not have the same level of fakes hitting the market.
Both of these insoles honestly work well.
GREEN, while higher priced, has the ability to last for years, which many inserts can’t offer. And if you’re buying from the manufacturer, you’ll be sure that you’re getting the right product. It’s difficult because any time you purchase online, you risk running across fake products.
The GREEN is also thick, so keep this in mind if you have tighter shoes. Even the manufacturer recommends these insoles for shoes that have extra space.

Achy, painful feet are no fun. No one wants to walk around in pain, day in and day out. You want to have a step that feels good. But, a lot of people, I am talking most of the people around you, will suffer from some form of foot pain this year.
